From the Canigou peak to the Mediterranean sea (on the GR10 hiking trail)

As you walk between Villefranche-de-Conflent, the fortified town, and Banyuls, the Mediterranean resort, a symphony of the four seasons, with its vegetation and climates, gradually unfolds before your eyes. It is indeed through this land of contrasts that runs the last section of the GR 10, the legendary trans-Pyrenees hiking trail.
Offer's description :
Stay package : 7 days / 6 nights (6 days walking) unaccompanied.
Level : 500 to 800 m elevation gain, with 1 section of 1,450m and 9hrs walk.
From the river Tet to the foot of the Canigou mountain you will walk along the most beautiful outlooks of this magnificent mountain range. You will be at the heart of the mountains with their eternal snows contemplating the sea.
Gradually you will lose altitude to reach the cool beech and chestnut forests in the Vallespir valley, a remote border region with a fascinating and tormented history. The final relief of the Pyrenees will lead you through its soft ridges, to cork oak forests before you can touch the foam of the "Big Blue" and relax in peaceful coves while thinking back to the entire journey from Villefrance.
