Exhibition
Exhibition Le Bal à Jau
From 26 June 2010 to 26 September 2010 - Cases-de-Pène
Exhibition of Contemporary Art, at the initiative of the Languedoc-Roussillon region, with as main theme the life and work of Casanova.
"Casanova forever" takes the form of thirty exhibitions, together with meetings, readings, screenings ...
After the great success of "Chauffe, Marcel!" in 2006 and "La dégelée Rabelais", the Languedoc-Roussillon region dedicates this year's event for contemporary art to Giacomo Casanova.
Frederique Loutz chose very early in her career drawing (small, medium and large formats, pencils, pastels, watercolours, ink) as the preferred medium of her artistic work. Two years ago, F. Loutz discovers Casanova who quickly becomes an iconic figure that she continues to study through drawings, photos and videos which are to be shown for the first time during this exhibition.
Stephen Marsden masters all the classic techniques of sculpture: modelling, moulding, stones cutting, casting. His sculptures, his presence, his density are directly related to the body, either during the creation of the work, during its exhibition or its physical relationship with the audience.
