Snowshoe hike across the high plateaus of the Cerdagne/Capcir
From 22 January 2012 to 14 April 2012
We have chosen for you an itinerary during which you will pack only every two days, with the first two nights spent in a small cosy hotel and a comfortable refuge off the beaten path for the following days.
Offer's description :
Stay package : 7 days - 6 nights
Hike level : a 400 to 800 m ascent and a 5-6 hour effective walking time.
Minimum : 5 people
Day 1 : rendez-vous at 9.am at Latour de Carol train station. Hike through the Carol Valley and take a break at Dorres hot baths. Hotel overnight in Angoustrine.
Day 2 : Ascent to the Maura Plateau - visit of the romanesque Belloc chapel. Hotel overnight in Angoustrine.
Day 3 : Hike from the Angoustrine Valley to the frozen lake of Bouillouses. Overnight in the refuge des Bouillouses.
Day 4 : Circuit of the Carlit upper Lakes. Overnight in the refuge des Bouillouses.
Day 5 : Pla des Aveillans plain and the Carlit lower lakes. Hotel overnight in Mont-Louis.
Day 6 : visit to the church in Planès. Hotel overnight in Mont-Louis.
Day 7 : 10.am after breakfast - short transfer to Latour de Carol.
