Come to discover the Train Jaune, another way to enjoy the Pyrenees!
Today there are 9 ski-resorts and the 4 cross-country ski areas offered in the Pyrénées-Orientales making up a total ‘ski-zone’ consisting of 280km of ski-runs, 105 mechanical lifts, 1320 snow-cannons, 350km of cross-country skiing, a framework of 350 activity leaders, 13 ski schools, and 9 snowparks – a unique offering to the public.
For winter snow holidays, Catalan Pyrenees are the mountains you need.
The Nordic area of the Capcir offers several fields over the whole plateau. There are activities and landscapes for all tastes: cross-country ski, snow-shoes, sleigh-dogs, snow-kite, walking, luge, nights in a refuge… Forest tracks, river, panoramic views of Canigou right down to the sea…15 villages to give you a welcome… The Capcir, it’s also a joy for children, with areas specially equipped for them, on skis or toboggan. In the Capcir, the largest cross-country ski area in the South, the history of cross-country skiing is linked with that of the Country – Domaines de la Llose, Clavera and la Quillane-Calvet classified as 4 Nordiques by Nordique France.
The rediscovery of an age-old piece of equipment allows you to go right into the heart of the mountain in winter.
Better than ever, the snow-shoe opens up a beautiful and austere natural area, beyond that exploited by the ski-stations, which for a long time was inaccessible to most people.
Snow-shoe professionals will accompany you.
