Built at the turn of the century to open up the high Catalan plateaux, the railway line of the Yellow Train is the pride and symbol of a region of which it carries the colours.
“Le Train Jaune” goes along the Têt Valley from Villefranche-de-Conflent then crosses the Cerdagne from Mont-Louis to Latour-de-Carol.
in 63 km, the Yellow Train links Villefranche-de-Conflent to Latour-de- Carol and climbs 1200 m in height to the station of Bolquère, the highest in France.
its route is particularly attractive and one can discover between Villefranche-de-Conflent and Mont-Louis, the séjourné Viaduct suspended 65 metres above ground and the Gisclard Bridge at 80 metres above a precipice.
