Nature reserves, nature in its purest state!
The authorities have been taking steps to preserve the beauty of Catalan Country for several years now.
The Pyrénées-Orientales boasts no less than 11 nature reserves. These are areas accessible to the public, but protected by certain rules which are in place to preserve the environment, in particular the flora and fauna.
Protecting the flora and fauna of the most precious sites of the Pyrénées Orientales,
Contributing to the preservation of the environment.
Allowing nature to evolve naturally through biodiversity,
Promoting appreciation of the beauty and riches of a site, being aware of its fragility,
Organising and developing activities and events…
A natural reserve is exactly what it claims to be!
