Les Bouillouses

Les Bouillouses, the jewel in the Pyrénées Catalanes

A real paradise for nature lovers, whether they are just observing, or solitary or family walkers, or fishermen or seasoned walkers, the lake at Bouillouses and its banks (listed site since 24 June 1976) is one of the most beautiful natural reserves in the Pyrénées-Orientales.
During the summer, access to the site at Les Bouillouses is regulated.

    The Bouillouses lake and its accesses is a natural site classified since June 24, 1976. To limit the impacts of a too significant number of vehicles, the access by the road is regulated the summer, and the access is done by shuttle or chair-lifts. Chair-lifts at the beginning of Font-Romeu and Formiguères (fares to be consulted on the spot). Pedestrian accesses marked out in yellow since the car park of Pla de Barres (3h20 of walk) and since the St-Martin- d’Envalls chapel (Angoustrine, 2h15 of walk). On the Bouillouses: hiking (with guides on booking), fishing initiation,…
